FRANKLIN COUNTY HELP ME GROW PROGRAM service coordination assists the families of children who have developmental delays or disabilities by connecting them with early intervention resources and services in Franklin County. (birth to age 3)
COMMUNITY SUPPORT SITE PROGRAM provides individual or group speech therapy programs for children referred by Help Me Grow in collaboration with Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (18 mos. to age 3)
COLUMBUS KIDS READY,SET,LEARN! A United Way initiative that identifies strengths and potential learning delays among all preschoolers within the Columbus City Schools district and to help them get the services they need to be ready to learn from the first day of school. (21/2 to age 4)
For children from 3 to 6 years of age
PRESCHOOL-AGE DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS and preschool-age family service coordination. Developmental, hearing, vision and social-emotional screenings to assist in the identification of developmental delays in preschool age children. Children and families receive service coordination to assist them in finding specialized services. (3 to age 6)
LINKAGE WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT PROGRAMS for families of preschool-age children with special needs. (3 to age 6)
SPARK-SUPPORTING PARTNERSHIPS TO ASSURE READY KIDS is a family focused intervention program helping children to get ready for school by building reading, language and social skills. This program seeks to create a seamless transition into school for children who turn 4 years old by September 30th of each year. (age 4)
For children, teens and young adults
TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS, CHILDCARE WORKERS, PARENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND PRESCHOOL STAFF MEMBERS — about children with special needs, resources, equipment, partnerships with schools and other providers.
EQUIPMENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM — allows families to borrow specialized adaptive equipment for their child, teen or young adult with a disability. Donations to the Equipment Exchange Program are picked up and shared with other families. Information about types of equipment, health education and information, and community resources is also available.
FAMILY SUPPORT — ECRN+ provides tools to make informed decisions; attends school, county and other local meetings and evaluations with parents; helps parents learn how to advocate, finds funding sources; connects families to health care providers; presents workshops and informational sessions and holds monthly meetings.
COLLABORATIVE PARTNER SHIP WITH FAMILY VOICES OF OHIO, INC. — An advocacy agency for parents and families of children with special needs (part of a nationwide network of state chapters).
