Frequently Asked Questions

 Beginning January 1, 2012, the YMCA of Central Ohio began administration of the City’s recreation programming. Here are some of the frequently asked questions about the partnership:

Q: WILL CITY SPORTS PROGRAMS OFFERED IN THE PAST CONTINUE?
*Yes and possibly more. See 2012 Recreation Calendar for upcoming programming and community events.
*YMCA Membership is NOT required to sign up for City programs and leagues.
 
Q: WHAT ABOUT YOUTH AND ADULT LEAGUES, SUCH AS BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL?
*All leagues will run as they did before, YMCA membership is NOT required to sign up for the City programs and leagues.
*Registration, will begin Feb.6 – April 16th, will be taken at the Delaware Community Center YMCA during regular office hours. (M-F 530a-930p Sat 7a-7p and Sun 12p-7p)

Q: WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND THE MINGO INDOOR GYMNASIUM AS IN THE PAST?
*Yes, during regular Mingo indoor recreation hours M-F 8a-8p Saturday and Sunday Noon until 7p. Please note that the gym hours may change depending on scheduled programming.

Q: HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR A FLORANCE POOL MEMBERSHIP?
*Sign up at the Delaware Community Center YMCA. (see Pool Rates for more information on membership cost). YMCA Membership is NOT required to obtain seasonal membership at Florance Pool.

Q: HOW DO I RENT A CITY PARK FACILITY?
*Rentals are taken at YMCA front desk, 1121 South Houk Road, or phone YMCA Program Coordinator, Jeremy Byers, 740-203-3051, during regular hours. See Rentals for rates for facility rentals.

Q: IS THE MINGO PARK OFFICE OPEN?
* Yes, Noon-5pm, Monday through Friday.
