Calls From The North Pole
Imagine the delight when your good little boy or girl gets a call from the North Pole. Santa, Mrs. Claus or their elves will call children ages 9 and younger on Thursday, December 6th between 5pm-7pm. To arrange this personalized call, complete the Calls from the North Pole request form(available after Nov. 1st). Return the form by Dec.3rd to the Delaware YMCA or mail to Delaware YMCA 1121 S. Houk Rd, Delaware OH 43015.
2019 Special Events
Friday, January 11 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$25 per couple, $10 for each additional daughter.
Dance will be held at OWU Student Center. An Ice Cream Bar will be available at 6:30pm followed by games and dancing. A photographer will be on site taking pictures that can be purchased. Mother-Son Super-Hero Party
Friday, March 8
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$10 for each additional son
Event will be held at Mingo Park indoor basketball court. An Ice Cream Bar will be available at 6:30pm followed by games that will test your super hero strength. A photographer will be on site taking pictures that can be purchased Dad’s will not be allowed to stay. Super-Hero costumes are encouraged. Easter Egg Hunt and Kite Festival
Date: Saturday, April 20th -11am sharp
Location: Veterans Park, 1121 S. Houk Road
Join us for the City of Delaware Easter Egg Hunt at 11AM on the Soccer Fields at the Delaware YMCA. The Easter Bunny will be there. There will be food trucks. Bring a kite and join in the family fun after the hunt. Please bring your own basket. Ages 1-9. FREE.
Healthy Kids Day (Not an Official City Event)
Date: Saturday, April 27, 2018
Location: YMCA, 1121 S. Houk Road
Bring the entire family for games, activities, crafts, & information about keeping your kids and family healthy. There will be a bounce house, door prizes, healthy snacks, fire truck, police department, library, ODJFS, martial arts demonstrations, and many other local organizations. Kids can also participate in a fit test, and other fun activities. There will also be a 5K and 1 Mile fun run at 8:00AM; registration forms at the front desk.

Delaware Safety Town is a one-week educational program geared for children entering kindergarten or first grade in fall. Safety Town is an interactive program that is designed to educate the children in a variety of safety topics and techniques that can be utilized in real-life situations. Topic include: fire safety, bike, bus, and pedestrian safety, the proper use of 911, poisons, stranger awareness, traffic safety, and animal safety. In addition participants will be introduced to fire fighters, police
officers, school bus drivers, and many other community helpers. Must register in person - no mailed registrations will be accepted.

Time: Movies at 8:15pm
Location: Mingo Park by the Playground
Come enjoy a Family Event in the Park. Bring blankets, chairs, bug spray, and snacks. No alcohol permitted. Free event.
Harmony in the Park

Location: Bicentennial Park Gazebo on S. Washington and Park Ave. in Downtown Delaware (next to Fire Station)
Enjoy wonderful music in a beautiful park setting right in the heart of Delaware. Bring a chair.
Dave Staley Adult and Youth Triathlon

The YMCA of Central Ohio and the City of Delaware Parks and Recreation Department invite you and youth 12 & under to participate in the 37th Annual Dave Staley Triathlon & Youth Triathlon. You have spent the summer enjoying the water and relaxing in the sun, now its time to let our four legged friends in on the fun. This is a one dog per person event. Dogs must be licensed, current on all vaccinations and much have the appropriate paperwork on file with our office prior to the event. Friendly dogs only please. Space is limited.
Pumpkin Run and Sweet Feat Walk and Halloween Party

Party 4:00-7:00 pm
Come dressed in your finest ghoulish gear and join our family friendly event. Activities include a trunk or treat stations, inflatables, live music, costume contest and safety demonstrations from our local fire and police departments. Treats include grilled hotdogs, cookies, a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and a cartload of pumpkins for the picking.
