Delaware Safety Town
Delaware Safety Town is a one-week educational program geared for children entering kindergarten or first grade in fall of 2012. Safety Town is an interactive program that is designed to educate the children in a variety of safety topics and techniques that can be utilized in real-life situations. Topics include: fire safety, bike, bus and pedestrian safety, the proper use of 911, poisons, stranger awareness, traffic safety, and animal safety. In addition participants will be introduced to fire fighters, police officers, school bus drivers, and many other community helpers.
Registration Deadline: June 1
Maximum Participants: 60 per session

Non-Residential Rate: $45
Session I- June 18-22 9am-11:30am

Outdoor Family Film Summer Series
Enjoy family friendly movies outside with your loved ones at Mingo Park for FREE. Feel free to bring blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy the evening outside and have a nostalgic cinematic experience.
City of Delaware Dave Staley Youth Triathlon

Jack Florance Pool
Test your fitness against kids your age. This mini-triathlon for 5 -12 year olds consists of a 50-yard swim or 1 lap down and back, a two-mile bike ride, and a half-mile run. This event takes place inside Mingo Park. All participants will receive a ribbon.
Resident Rate: $10
Non-Resident Rate: $20
There is an additional walk-up fee of $15 for registering after July 27.
City of Delaware Dave Staley Adult Triathlon

Jack Florance Pool
The "mini" triathlon is a popular endurance test for beginners as well as advanced athletes. The event begins with a 500-meter swim or 10 laps(1 lap is down and back) followed by an 8-mile bike ride and ends with a 3-mile run. The triathlon is open to males and females age 13 and older. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group and gender.
Resident Rate: $30
Non-Resident Rate: $40
There is an additional walk-up fee of $15 for registering after July 13.
Doggie Dive-In

You have spent the summer enjoying the water and relaxing in the sun now its time to let our four-legged friends in on the fun. On Saturday, September 8 the only swimmers allowed in the pool will be your dogs. This is a one dog per person event. Dogs must be licensed, current on all vaccinations and must have the appropriate paper work on file in our office prior to the event. Friendly dogs only please.

Halloween Celebration October

4:00-7:00 pm
Come dressed in your finest ghoulish gear and join our family friendly event. Activities include a Zombie Walk, trick or treat stations and safety demonstrations from our local fire department.
