To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. We’re here day in and day out to provide the resources our communities need to address the most pressing social issues: child welfare, education, employment, housing and substance abuse. We work to make sure every child, family and community has what they need to achieve their best.
Child WelfarePALS (Positive Alternative Learning for Students)
Day Suspension Program - The YMCA of Central Ohio's PALS program is a structured and
supervised environment for students who have been suspended from school. Students who are on 3-, 5-,
and 10-day suspensions are referred to PALS by local public school systems, juvenile courts,
departments of human services and parents. Students in the program are held accountable for
their actions by participating in educational programming and behavior modification sessions,
rather than treating their suspension as a vacation.
