There’s nothing better than spending the summer in the great outdoors - swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, making music, creating art and roasting marshmallows by the fireside.
Don’t miss your chance to live, play and make new friends this summer during the programs at the beautiful YMCA Camp Willson, located just one hour northwest of Columbus.
Camper health and safety is our first concern. A Registered Nurse is available 24 hours a day, and our star are first aid and CPR-trained. Our camp is accredited through the American Camp Assoication (ACA) and the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA).
YMCA Camp Willson understands the importance of positive role models for today’s young people. Each summer 40 enthusiastic and caring staff come to YMCA Camp Willson to shape lives - one Camper, one summer at a time.
Camp is nestled among 500 acres of woods and meadows overlooking the majestic Lake Mac-O-Chee. This is a perfect backdrop for a memorable week with friends in the outdoors. Our modern facilities combined with our historic buildings provide campers with one of the premiere camp experiences in the country.
While we firmly believe in younger and older children learning together, our camps are divided into different programs that help ensure your child’s experience is age appropriate.
Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to provide assistance to those in need with summer camp costs.
During your camper’s adventure at Camp Willson, campers will get to experience so many new activities unique to our natural setting. During the week (or more!), activity and cabin groups will be able to explore our beautiful 500 acres, Lake MacO-Chee, participate in fun games like GaGa, work together to solve challenges, or even ride a horse! During their stay, campers, depending on age, get to participate in morning activities to help master skills like target sports, outdoor living skills, waterfront, creative arts, Wranglers (our horseback riding program for Pathfinders), and many others. Friendships grow deeper, children escape the frantic pace of life (especially without technology), and a sense of belonging to their groups and cabin mates can have a profound effect upon one’s life. Our entire camp program is geared toward helping campers build friendships and develop a sense of community with one another.

Our counselors are comprised of young adults who have completed at least one week of specialized training each year. Staff are chosen for maturity, commitment to children’s growth and a love for making a difference. All Staff are CPR/First Aid certified.
Safety is always our top priority at camp. We are accredited by the YMCA of the USA, the Logan County Health Dept., Certified Horseman’s Association and American Camping Association. What does this mean? It means that we meet or exceed more than 300 standards of health, safety and program excellence.
