More than 200 Y's across the country help thousands of people reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes with YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program. This small-group program helps those with prediabetes eat healthier, increase their physical activity and lose weight, which can delay or even prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Blood Pressure Self Monitoring Program
This program was developed to support individuals in improving their health by engaging them in the behavior of consistently monitoring and tracking their own blood pressure. High blood pressure is often referred to as “The Silent Killer” because there are typically no warning signs or symptoms. However, high blood pressure is one of the key, modifiable, risk factors for both heart disease and stroke.
