About the program
At the Y, kids learn ABC’s, learn to share, learn about sportsmanship and, most importantly, learn how to be themselves, making for confident kids today and contributing adults tomorrow.
The YMCA of Central Ohio proudly offers full-day infant-through-preschool child care at three Educare Centers in Columbus. Our Educare Centers are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Children in our programs are cared for in a warm, caring and safe environment. Staff are well-trained in early childhood education and follow age-appropriate lesson plans designed to stimulate childrens' minds as well as provide a fun and creative day for your child.
We serve 3,584 children every year, making us the largest child care provider in central Ohio. Collectively, the YMCA is the largest provider of child care statewide and nationally. We know kids and families!
The YMCA of Central Ohio began its licensed child care programs in 1989 with 7 sites. Every year the need for quality, affordable care grows and we now have over 60 state-licensed child care programs throughout Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield and Pickaway counties. The YMCA of Central Ohio is very proud of the high quality early care and education services we offer our families. Our staff looks forward to helping your child learn, grow and thrive by working together to create the best learning environment for your child.
