Snow Level

The YMCA closes only for extreme weather, including Level 3 snow emergencies. Decisions follow meteorological reports.

Level 1 Snow Emergency

  • YMCA branches in the affected area will operate as usual
  • No closings or delays will be initiated

Level 2 Snow Emergency

  • Branches in the affected area may delay opening or close early
  • Classes and programs at affected branches will be cancelled
  • Program and hour changes determined by Branch Executive in coordination with supervisor
  • If open, non-essential staff may be allowed to leave

Level 3 Snow Emergency

  • YMCA branches in the affected area will close
  • All classes and programs will be cancelled
