About the Program
This dynamic and empowering program is designed specifically for youth aged 11-16 who are eager to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful community service, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
At its core, the Teen Leaders Club provides an enriching environment where participants not only grow as individuals but also contribute to the betterment of their community. Through hands-on projects, teens will take on volunteer initiatives, plan and execute special events, and work collaboratively on activities that foster leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. This program aims to inspire a new generation of young leaders who are prepared to meet challenges head-on and thrive in a supportive group of their peers.
Grove City Y Teen Leaders Club will meet bi-weekly on Saturdays from 9:00am - 10:00am.

Key Components of Teen Leaders Club
- Leadership Development: Teen Leaders will engage in structured workshops and interactive sessions designed to build essential leadership skills. Topics will range from communication and problem-solving to goal-setting and public speaking, all of which are critical for success in school, future careers, and life.
- Community Service & Volunteerism: Teen Leaders will take an active role in planning and executing community service projects, such as organizing food drives, participating in environmental clean-up efforts, and helping events like Breakfast with Santa and Blood Drives. These experiences not only benefit the local community but also provide valuable volunteer hours and service experience.
- Event Planning & Execution: A unique aspect of the Teen Leaders Club is the opportunity for participants to take charge of large-scale community events. Working alongside YMCA staff, teens will gain firsthand experience in project management, event promotion, and logistics. This real-world experience fosters a sense of ownership and accomplishment while contributing to their development as community leaders.
- Personal Growth & Teamwork: While the program emphasizes leadership and service, it also focuses on personal growth. Teens will be encouraged to explore their strengths, work on areas for improvement, and develop their self-confidence. The collaborative nature of the club provides opportunities to build strong friendships, work in diverse teams, and practice empathy and respect—skills essential for leadership in any setting.
