COLUMBUS, Ohio – The YMCA of Central Ohio and the Union County Family YMCA announced today a new management agreement designed to enhance the services, programs, and long-term community impact of the YMCA across Union County.
Under this agreement, the YMCA of Central Ohio will provide management guidance, operational support, and access to broader resources, while the Union County Family YMCA continues to operate as its own independent nonprofit organization rooted deeply in the local community.
“This partnership is about lifting up a community we all care about,” said Tony Collins, President & CEO of the YMCA of Central Ohio. “The YMCA of Central Ohio has a long history of supporting Ys across the region, and we’re honored to come alongside the Union County Family YMCA to ensure this community continues to have access to high-quality programs, caring staff, and transformational opportunities.”
The agreement enables the Union County Family YMCA to leverage the operational expertise, training resources, program models, and operational systems that come with being part of a larger association—while maintaining its unique identity, local leadership, and commitment to serving the needs of its neighbors.
No changes to programs, membership, or services are expected at this time. Instead, both organizations are focused on strengthening the Y’s foundation so that it can continue to serve children, families, and neighbors for generations to come.
