With the Wellness Roadmap program, you’ll be guided by one of our Y experts to select your paths of interest and create your own personalized Wellness Roadmap. This customized guide will lead to a healthier, happier YOU while CRUSHING your goals!

Wellness Roadmaps will be developed in partnership with our team of Wellness Experts, who are happy to adapt your selected path to reflect an individual or a family focus.

When you complete a request, you can customize your Wellness Roadmap by choosing one of our six paths that best aligns with your goals and interests.
 

1. Wellness Coaching / Health Maintenance

This appointment focuses on holistic health strategies, helping you set and achieve personal wellness goals. Topics may include all dimensions of wellness — including but not limited to nutrition, stress management, sleep and overall lifestyle adjustments.

What to Expect

  • Exploration & goal-setting.
  • Discovery of new techniques to facilitate success.
  • Learning how to leverage YMCA resources to support positive behavior change.
  • Progress touch points.

Ideal For

Anyone looking to improve overall health & well-being and create sustainable lifestyle changes.
 

2. Weight Management/Strength Building

This pathway is tailored for individuals seeking to lose weight and build strength. Appointment includes up to a 12-week program design paired with general nutritional guidance.

What to Expect

  • Education on program design principles and workout tracking (paper & digital).
  • Nutrition tools and guidance, including caloric intake recommendations and logging.
  • Build up to a 12-week program reflective of goals, preferences and abilities.

Ideal For

Individuals focused on weight management and increasing physical strength.
 

3. Y- Orientation

New to the YMCA? This orientation session will familiarize you with our facilities, equipment and available programs, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable during your visits.

What to Expect

  • Personalized facility tour and equipment demonstrations.
  • Overview of classes and programs.
  • Introduction to YMCA staff and resources.

Ideal For

New members or those looking to re-engage with YMCA offerings.
 

4. Group Fitness 101

Dive into the world of group fitness! This session introduces various group classes at the YMCA, providing insights into our multiple formats and the benefits of each one.

What to Expect

  • Personalized class recommendations & introductions to YMCA Instructors.
  • How to reserve and manage schedules through YMCA360.
  • Walk through of spaces and typical equipment used.
  • Guidance on how to participate effectively.
  • Tips for maximizing group fitness experiences (i.e. early arrival, practicing virtual at home).
  • Form review for standard exercises.

Ideal For

Individuals who are interested in exploring group workouts and enhancing their fitness through social engagement.
 

5. Recovery, Re-entry and Mobility

Designed for those recovering from injury or looking to enhance mobility, this appointment focuses on safe practices to regain strength and flexibility based on your season of life and/or physical activity recommendations from your medical team.

What to Expect

  • Deeper review of medical history, exercise experience, and goals
  • Mobility assessments and exercises
  • Strategies for safe re-entry into fitness routines

Ideal For

Individuals recovering from injuries or those wanting to improve mobility and prevent future injuries through improved form/ technique.
 

6. Personal Training Consultation

This path is specifically for those who want to work one-on-one with a certified personal trainer to conduct assessments and develop a more customized, longer-term plan tailored to their goals and/or performance outcomes.

What to Expect

  • Overview of the YMCA’s Personal Training Program benefits and rates.
  • A deeper review of medical history and waivers.
  • Discussion of personal goals, desired timeline, prior successes and potential barriers.
  • Conduct an initial fitness assessment.
  • Recommend a timeline to achieve goals & frequency of trainer sessions.

Ideal For

Anyone seeking personalized guidance and a structured approach to their fitness journey, including ongoing accountability and direct instruction.
