The YMCA is proud to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The goal of this program is to increase the YMCA's ability to meet the nutritional needs of children in our care by getting reimbursed for meals and snacks that meet CACFP requirements. In addition, we promote understanding of the role of nutrition in the physical, mental and social health of children and help develop positive food attitudes and eating behaviors.
By receiving reimbursement for snacks and meals at participating sites, the YMCA is able to provide a more complete and nutritious snack or dinner to children in our child care programs. To participate in this program, the YMCA must meet the following nutritional guidelines:

While all of our Y-Club programs serve a nutritious snack in the afternoon, the YMCA is able to receive reimbursement for the sites above based on the demographic and economic information of the areas served and the families attending.
We truly value the opportunity to assist families in providing a nutritious snack or meal to the children in our programs and to be able to provide families with health, fitness and nutritional information that will help them build good health and eating habits early.
