Landlords gain several benefits from participating in our program.
Consider the following advantages:
Working with our program gives you access to a pool of ready-to-rent tenants. Just notify us when you have a vacant unit, and we’ll quickly match you with a client who is looking for housing.
Our case managers work with their clients on topics such as personal budgeting, employment assistance, understanding rental agreements, housekeeping and general apartment maintenance, being a good neighbor, and more.
We aim to get individuals back on their feet. We’ve found many low-income clients can afford monthly rent, but have difficulty saving enough for a security deposit. If needed, we can help clients put together this one-time payment.
Eligible clients receive a subsidy to help them cover some portion of their rent until they are able to maintain their finances. This allows clients time to stabilize and build an emergency fund for the future.
Some clients have special needs, so we work with them on an ongoing basis to make sure they have the support they need to succeed. We help prevent future problems, and through our network of partners, clients have access to an array of supportive services.
Our case managers conduct regular home visits for a limited time to ensure clients are stabilized in their new environments, and that they are getting the support they need. Regular follow up with clients allows us to identify and address problems early before they become irreparable.
Despite anyone’s best efforts, problems are sometimes inevitable. However, when issues arise, it’s reassuring to know there’s someone to call. We care as much about our relationship with our landlords as we do our clients. We need everyone to make our program work. The case manager is a neutral party, ensuring everyone is treated fairly, and problems get quickly and impartially resolved.
The clients are not the only one who has an advocate on their side. Our housing resource team is available to landlords when issues arise regarding our clients in your housing unit. Call us when you have any issues that need assistance in resolving and receive prompt response and assistance with trouble shooting the issue.
