Welcome to Early Childhood Resource Network+!
ECRN+ was founded/established more than 35 years ago as a coalition of thirty agencies/organizations and parent representatives who were involved in providing services for families with children who had special health care needs and/or developmental disabilities and delays. Now, more than 35 years later, our scope of services has increased, but the primary goal is the same; we empower and connect families.
ECRN+ staff:
- Work with families to ensure the academic success of their children
- Assist families in maintaining or obtaining safe and secure housing
- Provide training opportunities for families and professionals
- Perform on-site child observations at child care sites and preschools
- Provide ongoing family service coordination for eligible children (birth to 5 years old) and their families
- Conduct developmental screenings for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age
- Help families prepare their children for kindergarten
- Provide ongoing family support

We provide support services to families who have children, teens, and young adults with delays, disabilities, and special health care needs. We provide community based opportunities such as adaptive kayaking and canoeing, hiking, play groups, informational sessions and other activities.
Equipment Loan Program
We loan out adaptive equipment to children, teens, and adults for 90 day loan periods. Equipment includes walkers, bolsters, feeding chairs, walker, sensory devices, and other adaptive equipment.
Early Intervention (formerly Ohio’s Help Me Grow program)
Services for children (birth-3) who are medically fragile have delays, or disabilities. We complete standardized evaluations, assessments, and coordinate therapeutic services for the children in their natural environments.
Preschool Age Services
Children three through five years of age living in Franklin County are served through this program. We provide developmental, hearing, vision, and social-emotional screenings to preschool age children.
Training
We provide training opportunities for families and professionals on topics ranging from inclusion and special needs, developmental red flags, and behavior management techniques.
Community Support Site
We provide speech therapy services (individual and group) for children in the Franklin County Early Intervention program who have a diagnosed speech delay or disability. These services are provided in community settings and natural environments for the families.
SPARK
SPARK is a family-focused school readiness program that works with families to help get their children ready for kindergarten by building reading, language, and social skills and is home based.
