Columbus State YMCA Membership
At the YMCA of Central Ohio, we know overall well-being grows when people have access to the support and resources they need to care for their spirit, mind and body. That’s why we are proud to partner with Columbus State Community College to create the Columbus State YMCA, the first of its kind in the nation. This innovative facility will bring health and wellness resources and drop-in child care directly to Columbus State students and employees, helping remove barriers to critical needs that support success, well-being and a stronger campus community while empowering all people to reach their full potential.
As excitement builds for the brand-new, state-of-the-art facility opening in Autumn 2028, you can begin your wellness journey today with an individual YMCA membership at any of our convenient locations.
What To Expect
Student YMCA memberships begin June 1, 2026 and provide access to all YMCA of Central Ohio locations across the region. Getting started is simple. Follow the steps below to begin your YMCA membership process or transitioning an existing YMCA membership.
Step 1: Request Membership:
Begin the membership process by filling out the secure form with your information. The form features smart logic to easily create a new account or seamlessly transition your existing personal YMCA membership.
Step 2: Check Your Inbox:
You will receive a confirmation email once you submit your membership request, but wait until you receive the activation email to visit the YMCA to finalize and activate your membership. Membership access will be available within 5 business days after your form is submitted.
Step 3: Go to the Y:
Head to any Central Ohio YMCA branch to finalize your membership and grab your key tag! Note: You must bring a physical photo ID on your first visit to finalize activation.
*Note: Students under the age of 18 will need their guardian present at time of membership activation.
Membership Options
- Student Membership: Included for eligible Columbus State students through the YMCA partnership.
- Household Add-On: This optional add on is available for students at a special rate of $30 per month, per household.
- Employee Membership: This optional add-on will be available to Columbus State employees beginning July 1, 2026. Employees who would like to participate will need to opt in.
