Without walls, we're able to provide some of our organization's most easily accessed programs and ensure they are always relevant in today's ever-changing climate.
Y Without Walls
Social distance does not mean social absence. The Y may be known for our facilities, but the YMCA's mission reaches so much farther. YMCA of Central Ohio believes that quality service can not only happen without our own center but is also best achieved when we meet people where they are.
The Y Without Walls program employs a unique strategy within our movement that means physically bringing programs to them or, more broadly, always adapting our service to ensure we meet their most chronic needs. This program strives to bring resources and partnerships to some of Columbus's most under-resourced communities like Linden and the Hilltop, without needing a building to serve from.
Food Distribution to 4 Franklin County communities through partnership with Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Second Harvest Food Bank. We still continue to offer food distribution drives at multiple locations
